Vira Gunn Signs Up for Extra Life 2011

Extra Life is a annual 24-hour video game marathon that raises money to help kids at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It’s never been this much fun to do this much good. Thus, many in the gaming world have been quick to sign on for the chance to do good for children all across the country – and many in other countries.

I’m raising money for the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia – a cause very close to my heart. As a child, I was very ill and the loving care I received there helped me more than I can even begin to explain. The attention and genuine concern of a doctor is something one cannot put a price on; and the people at CHOP go above and beyond to make sure the children who end up there have moments where they can smile.

Help me continue to fund this amazing institution!

Beginning on Oct. 15, 2011, I’ll begin to log 24 hours of gaming – done via livestream. Due to my travel plans, I won’t be able to do these in one stretch as I would have liked, but I’ll do as many straight sessions as I can. I’ll be participating via XBOX Live, Steam, and even OMGPOP.  Simply tweet at me and we’ll arrange something.

I'm the co-owner of Nerd Vice. I sometimes produce content ... nerdy content. I'm a 25 year old woman from New Jersey. I love fashion and girly stuff. I consider "Super Mario Bros. 3" to be the perfect game, though "Silent Hill 2" is my personal favorite. I'm also happily married to this guy called Leon Thomas.
